Twaalf Maal
'It's all about self reflection' my contribution to the Twaalf Maal calendar of 2024.
My chosen month was January. For this month, I went to see what kind of feeling January evokes to people. January is a month when people have the tradition to make resolutions on "improving themselves," doing better than the previous year. For me, this tradition relates to the idea of self-reflection. Using this word as a base, I started mirroring different elements of the already designed calendar into an abstract visual. This created an exciting interplay between image and text.

Together with all the participants and those who purchased a copy, we were able to donate €1000 from our 2024 calendar project to Artsen Zonder Grenzen (Doctors Without Borders) for their efforts in the face of indiscriminate attacks, forced displacements, and assaults on hospitals and medical personnel in Gaza.
